I’ve never seen it before; it seems to be a type of silencer, but what’s the purpose of attaching a box to it?
Current status of shock wave soot blower equipment: Gas-based shock wave soot blowers have been in use for over a decade; their performance has been recognized by numerous users, leading to their widespread adoption. It has outstanding advantages: it delivers strong soot-blowing power with significant results. There are also some shortcomings: 1. Strong directivity: Gas shock waves have a high degree of directivity, exerting significant impact force in the direction of the nozzle. However, for smaller boiler models, this strong impact force can cause damage to the boiler walls; this is especially true for biomass boilers and waste incineration boilers, where the flue space is small and the injection distance is short, resulting in greater damage to the boiler walls. At the same time, shock waves with a strong directionality result in more dead zones that cannot be reached, which is a rather critical issue in terms of effectiveness. 2. High operating costs: The cost of acetylene is currently around over 100 yuan per cylinder. For factories with severe dust accumulation, the daily consumption of several or even a dozen cylinders of acetylene represents a significant expense. 3. High equipment failure rate: there is a phenomenon of failed shots. Sometimes, during debugging, it works well; but after running for a while, due to various reasons the gas-to-air ratio changes, and it stops working. Professional technical support is required to re-debug it so that it can operate properly.
