According to a report from CGTN Tianjin on June 17 (reporter: Zhou Siyang; correspondent: Chen Mengxue), on June 16, reporters learned from CNOOC Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., a company located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, that the land-based construction of the three platforms for the development project of Block 10-1 North of the Kenli 6-1 oil field, one of the largest oil fields in the Bohai Sea with an output of hundreds of millions of tons per year, has been completed. This marks the first application of new standards for the design of facilities in offshore oil and gas fields in China, representing an important breakthrough in the standardization of offshore oil and gas engineering in the country. It holds great significance for further improving the efficiency of oil and gas resource exploitation and ensuring energy security.
The Kenli 6-1 oil field and the Bozhong 19-6 gas field are located in the Bohai Sea, which is China’s main region for oil and gas production. Why doesn’t CNOOC set up a refining and petrochemical project in Shandong, following the model used in Huizhou? Of course, olefins are the main products.
Isn’t CNOOC Hainan also under Sinopec’s control? CNOOC’s largest facility is the Huizhou Refining and Chemical Complex, and that facility doesn’t produce ethylene either

CNOOC Shell CSPC. Right next to Hui Lian, you can check out related products. There are plans to expand the third phase of the ethylene project.
