In November 2018, the 900,000 tons per year tower distillation units, namely towers A and B for propylene distillation, as part of the integrated refining project with an annual production capacity of 40 million tons carried out by Zhejiang Petrochemical, were successfully delivered on schedule by Daming Heavy Industry. The material is Q345R, with a diameter of 6 meters, a wall thickness of 42 millimeters, a total length of 84.3 meters, and a weight of 1000 tons per unit. To meet the design requirements and ensure smooth gas-liquid separation during the three internal liquid dropping processes and the two liquid dropping processes, a special manufacturing process was employed. This process combines flexible segmented overall heat treatment with localized electric heating treatment of the joint seams, thereby satisfying the design requirements for the overall heat treatment of equipment with a total length of nearly 100 meters. The tray plates and liquid dropping plates are installed vertically in segments for welding, so as to ensure that the levelness of each of the 120-layer trays meets the specified requirements during operation.
