On July 6, 2022, the world’s first set of \"intelligent marine loading and unloading arms\" equipped with a \"one-click\" intelligent connection function, independently developed and manufactured by Lianyungang Ocean Fluid Equipment Loading and Unloading Co., Ltd. (Fluid Company), a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping in Qingdao, was used to carry out the first loading and unloading operation at the second loading and unloading area of Baxiu Port in Hainan. This marked China’s entry into the global leadership tier in the field of fluid handling equipment manufacturing.
At the second loading and unloading area of Baxiu Port in Hainan, operators of intelligent marine loading and unloading arms can rely on technologies such as visual recognition, 5G transmission, and Beidou positioning to achieve precise identification of the connectors on the unloading arms and the flanges on the transport ships, as well as intelligent obstacle avoidance and automatic docking. This enables true remote operation of the loading and unloading arms, along with one-click intelligent docking and disconnection. The intelligent marine loading and unloading arm can initiate smart docking and automatic retraction with just one button press, without any manual intervention, thereby significantly improving the efficiency of loading and unloading liquid goods at docks.
Intelligent marine loading and unloading arms also feature remote technical support, online maintenance management, and the ability to query equipment operation data. They enable remote condition monitoring and fault resolution, effectively eliminating safety risks associated with the loading and unloading of liquid chemical products at docks by oil tankers. It can also handle harsh weather conditions and unexpected situations, adapt to various port loading and unloading environments, and meet the multi-functional operational requirements of smart terminals and intelligent ports.
