According to videos filmed by various netizens, the incident occurred around 1 p.m. on the 17th, when a fire broke out in the factory building of a chemical company in that area, with thick smoke rising into the sky. From time to time, fire trucks on the streets activated their sirens as they headed toward the location of the incident. At 13:55, a reporter from Red Star News learned from the Emergency Management Bureau of Wutongqiao District in Leshan City that the fire that broke out that day was at the factory complex of Fuhua Group; the fire has now been brought under control, and there were no casualties.
