On the afternoon of December 12, the tallest tower in the installation work of Bid Section 2 for the Hubei Nanlian Fine Chemicals project – the p-xylene tower (C-1102) – was hoisted into place. The trimethylamine removal tower being lifted this time has a diameter of 3 meters and a height of 87.4 meters, with a total lifting weight of approximately 212 tons. The lifting operation is carried out using two cranes: a 800-ton crawler crane as the main crane and a 400-ton crawler crane as the auxiliary crane. The construction site was narrow, making lifting operations very difficult. However, thanks to the successful experiences of lifting the trimethylbenzene tower and the trimethyl reaction raw material tower in the previous two occasions, this massive lifting task was carried out more smoothly. With the careful planning by the project team and the coordinated efforts of all the construction teams, the lifting of the trimethylbenzene tower was a success! At 9:58 a.m. on December 2, the trimetric/tetrametric unit C-1103 trimetric feed tower for the installation tower was successfully installed in safety after 4 hours. The trisubstrate tower has a diameter of 1.4 m and a height of 68 m, with a total lifting weight of approximately 108 tons. The lifting operation is carried out using a dual-crane lifting method, with an 800-ton crawler crane as the main crane and a 400-ton crawler crane as the auxiliary crane. This tower was lifted into place as a single unit. Before the lifting operation, the project team conducted multiple studies of the relevant plans, analyzed various data, and carried out on-site inspections to ensure its safe installation.
