Framework Agreement for Investment in CNCEC Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park (Integrated Green Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Alcohol Production) Signed Author/Source: Huahua Net Coal Chemicals Date: 2023-03-16 Clicks: 26 On March 14, a meeting on investment promotion was held in Beijing; CNCEC Hydrogen Energy Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement for investment in the CNCEC Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park (Integrated Green Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Alcohol Production) with the people’s government of Songyuan City. It is reported that this project is of great significance for expanding the large-scale use of hydrogen (ammonia) for energy storage, improving the layout of Jilin’s hydrogen industry chain, advancing the development of a large-scale renewable energy-based hydrogen production base in western Jilin as well as a diversified demonstration base for green hydrogen-based chemical industries, and helping to create a \"Hydrogen Valley in Northern China\". This project is one of the first large-scale hydrogen-based chemical industry demonstration projects under the \"Hydrogen-Powered Jilin\" initiative in Jilin Province. With a total investment of 29.6 billion yuan, it plans to build production lines for 600,000 tons of green synthetic ammonia/alcohols as well as hydrogen energy equipment in three phases. The first phase of the project under this agreement involves an investment of 10.5 billion yuan. The construction will include 900,000 kilowatts of new energy capacity (800,000 kilowatts from wind power and 100,000 kilowatts from photovoltaic systems), as well as facilities for producing 45,000 tons of hydrogen per year through water electrolysis, a 200,000-ton capacity flexible ammonia production plant, and a 20,000-ton capacity facility for producing green methanol.
