This post was last edited by Yuyu in the Desert on 2023-7-24 11:49, praising the great development of chemical technology in the past ten years, and praising the prosperity of China in the prosperous age. It will be more lively with everyone's participation, and the sea will be more exciting with you. Everyone is welcome to participate in the forum to exchange and discuss, and pay attention to fire prevention in July.------------------------------------------------ On July 18, 2023, with the successful installation of the eighth tower section, the Yulong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integrated Project (Phase I) torch tower was successfully capped. The Yulong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project (Phase I) has a flare tower height of 168m and a total weight of 2,100t. It is currently one of the tallest flares in Asia. The torch is divided into eight sections for vertical assembly and modular hoisting. The first section is located in the basic assembly. The second to eighth sections use the SCC20000A 2000-ton crawler crane and use the "single-machine lifting and rotation method hoisting technology" to complete the hoisting task. There are many difficulties in the tower hoisting this time, such as seaside operations, high-altitude operations, soft foundation and other unfavorable environmental characteristics. In order to ensure the smooth completion of the hoisting task, the first technical briefing meeting for the torch tower will begin on March 14, 2023. According to the "safe, orderly, efficient, economical and standardized" requirements of Yulong Petrochemical's large-scale transportation and hoisting management team. An overall plan was made for the hoisting of the flare tower. According to the height and weight of the tower, three working conditions (108m main boom, 108m+60m tower jib, 108m+90m tower jib) were selected to complete the seven-segment hoisting task. The tower prefabrication site was clarified, the ground foundation treatment plan was adjusted, and the hoisting cover design was optimized. Each section of hoisting takes "safety first" as the core concept, and plans, responsibilities, and measures are determined to ensure the smooth installation of the flare tower.
From the first hoisting of the torch tower to the top on June 3, it took 45 days to complete the hoisting tasks of 7 sections. Faced with the special situation of the eccentric center of gravity of the eighth section of the tower, technicians constantly checked and adjusted the length of the steel wire rope according to the offset of the center of gravity to maintain the tower in a horizontal state as much as possible. They selected the appropriate position to fix the cable wind ropes. Facing the surrounding messy construction site, they also selected counterweight blocks and roads. The base plate is used as a fixed anchor point, and movable anchor points are set on the periphery to prevent the tower from rotating due to wind and colliding with the arm. Before hoisting, a comprehensive safety technical briefing is conducted with all personnel involved in the hoisting task, so that everyone is clear about the hoisting steps and parameters, and no room for error is allowed in every step. The hoisting commander-in-chief made overall coordination at the site to ensure the smooth capping of the eighth section of the torch tower. Before hoisting, we confirmed the pre-hoisting control points with the owner, supervisor, and installation unit, and solved the questions raised by them one by one. During hoisting, we worked closely with the installation unit to ensure that the eighth section of the tower was successfully topped out and maximized the performance of the SCC20000A 2000-ton crawler crane.
Many years ago, the United Arab Emirates had a 168-meter-tall torch tower in Asia. The United Arab Emirates should also belong to Asia, right?
It is currently one of the tallest torches in Asia. China used to have it at 150 meters.
