On January 24, 2025, the Biobased Materials Industrial Park project in Taixing Economic Development Zone, with a total investment of 10.6 billion yuan, was officially signed. The total investment in this industrial park project is 10.6 billion yuan, covering an area of 500 mu. Focusing on the development of new bio-based materials, it plans to build facilities for producing 200,000 tons per year of bio-based polyurethane coatings, 100,000 tons per year of bio-based spandex fiber raw materials, 100,000 tons per year of bio-based nylon elastomers, and 100,000 tons per year of bio-based nylon fibers. Once all these facilities are completed, annual sales could reach 20 billion yuan. This will help to connect the various links in the bio-based material industry chain, fostering a cluster effect, and providing additional impetus for the Taixing Economic Development Zone to accelerate its efforts to become a demonstration base for the bio-based materials industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.
