On August 6, the People’s Government of Nehe City in Qiqihar issued a public notice seeking opinions on the social stability risks associated with the integrated project of wind power-based hydrogen production and green methanol synthesis carried out by Qiqihar Hanyahydrogen New Energy Co., Ltd. (the chemical engineering aspect of this project). According to the public announcement, the integrated project for producing green methanol via wind power-driven hydrogen production by Qiqihar Hanya Hydrogen Alcohol New Energy Co., Ltd. (the chemical engineering aspect of this project) is located in the Laha Biotechnology and Chemical Pharmaceutical Industrial Park within the Nehe Economic Development Zone in Heilongjiang Province. Using hydrogen produced by water electrolysis and carbon dioxide from fermentation as raw materials, the project will be constructed in two phases; the capacity of the first phase is 310,000 tons per year of green methanol, with an output of 217,000 tons per year of green methanol for that phase ; The capacity of the second-phase plant is 310,000 tons per year of green methanol, and its output is 217,000 tons per year of green methanol. It is reported that on January 24, the integrated project for producing green methanol through wind power-driven hydrogen production (in the chemical sector) carried out by Qiqihar Hanya Hydrogen Alcohol New Energy Co., Ltd. was approved for implementation. The total investment amount for this project is 842,964.59 million yuan, with Qiqihar Hanya Hydrogen Alcohol New Energy Co., Ltd. being the entity responsible for it. The project mainly involves the construction of a 620,000-ton green methanol production facility along with its supporting infrastructure, as well as a 40,000-ton green aviation fuel production facility and heat storage systems. The total planned land area for the project is approximately 700,000 square meters. This project uses hydrogen produced by water electrolysis and carbon dioxide from fermentation as raw materials, and is constructed in two phases. The first phase will involve the construction of a green methanol production facility with an annual capacity of 310,000 tons, along with associated facilities; the planned land area for this phase is approximately 300,000 square meters ; The second-phase construction will involve a green methanol production facility with an output capacity of 310,000 tons per year, along with associated facilities; the planned land area for this facility is approximately 400,000 square meters.
