Recently, information regarding Hunan Fubang New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to expand its production capacity to 10,000 tons of lithium bis(fluorosulfonylimide) per year was posted on relevant websites for approval purposes. Driven by advancements in manufacturing processes, as well as the need to reduce costs and better meet market demands and corporate strategic goals, Fubang Company plans to carry out renovations and expansions within its existing facility to build a plant capable of producing 10,000 tons of lithium bis(fluorosulfonylimide) per year. This project was approved for registration on October 18, 2024. Basic information on the project: Project name: Project for annual production of 10,000 tons of lithium bisfluorosulfonylimide. Nature of construction: Renovation and expansion. Constructor: Hunan Fubang New Materials Co., Ltd. Location of construction: Songmu Economic Development Zone, Hengyang, Hunan. Total investment: 223.183 million yuan. Construction details: (1) Build a production line for annual production of 10,000 tons of lithium bisfluorosulfonylimide, to be carried out in two phases. Phase 3.1 involves constructing a production line with an annual output of 3,000 tons of lithium bisfluorosulfonylimide along with its supporting facilities, while Phase 3.2 involves building a production line with an annual output of 7,000 tons of lithium bisfluorosulfonylimide and its supporting facilities ； “The production process and equipment for the 2,400 tons per year capacity of lithium difluorosulfonylimide, which have been established under the \"Project for the Expansion and Upgrade of Lithium Difluorosulfonylimide Production with an Annual Output of 4,000 tons\" (Heng Huan Fa No. 149), remain unchanged ； The construction of the equipment related to the 1,600 tons/year production capacity that has not yet been built will no longer proceed. (3) Demolish the existing 35m incinerator with a processing capacity of 0.8 t/h; all hazardous waste that was previously sent to this incinerator for disposal is now handed over to qualified entities for treatment. (4) Construct an 1100-meter-long, DN300 fiberglass-based overhead sulfur dioxide transmission line with a transport capacity of 11,000 tons per year (from Fubang to Hengguang), equipped with devices such as toxic gas alarms and transmission fans.
