Second public announcement on the environmental impact assessment for Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 10,000-ton per year FTO synthesis project for the separation and purification of high-carbon alpha olefins. It has been learned recently that the second public announcement regarding the environmental impact assessment for this project has been made. The 10,000-ton per year FTO synthesis for the separation and purification of high-carbon alpha olefins project of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in the Jintai Fine Chemical Park within the Duguitala Industrial Park in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. The construction scope includes: this project will produce 28,200 tons of C8 olefins, with an actual annual operating time of 8,000 hours. The main focus is on constructing a combined unit for the separation and purification of α-olefins. Functionally, this unit is divided into five sections: single-carbon separation, adsorbent regeneration, extraction-based deoxygenation, alkane-olefin separation, and utility systems. The feed oil is separated in distillation columns to yield crude C8 olefins and C8 alkanes; the C8 olefins are further purified through extraction, adsorbent-based deoxygenation, and adsorption separation techniques, resulting in C8 α-olefin products that meet the required standards. On May 28, Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 10,000-ton per year FTO synthesis project for the separation and purification of high-carbon alpha olefins was approved for registration. Construction location: Hangjin Banner, Ordos City – Jintai Fine Chemical Park, Duguitala Industrial Park, Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. Total investment: 569.9792 million yuan, of which self-funded amount is 569.9792 million yuan; bank loans applied for: 0 million yuan; other sources of funding: 0 million yuan. Planned construction period: from August 2025 to March 2027. Scale and scope of construction: This project will produce 28,200 tons of C8 olefins per year, with actual operating hours at 8,000 hours per year; the operational flexibility of the facility is 60%–110%. The project covers an area of approximately 135 mu, and it primarily involves the construction of a combined facility for the separation and purification of α-olefins. This facility is divided into five functional units: single-carbon cutting, adsorbent regeneration, extraction deoxygenation, alkene-olefin separation, and utility systems. The feed oil is separated in distillation towers to yield crude C8 olefins and C8 alkanes; these are further purified using extraction, adsorbent-based deoxygenation, and adsorption separation techniques to produce C8 α-olefin products that meet the required standards.
