The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone should talk about safety and be able to handle emergencies; identify and address potential risks and hazards. -------------------------------------------------- On October 18, 2025, an expert review meeting for the \"Qingyang Coal Clean and Efficient Utilization Integrated Project Plan\" of Gansu Energy and Chemical Group was held in Qingyang. This project serves as the key mechanism for Gansu Province to advance the development of a **-level comprehensive energy and chemical industry base in eastern Gansu. It relies on Qingyang City’s abundant coal resources – the three coal mines operated by Gansu Energy and Chemical Group, which form the core of this project, are all located in Ning County, Qingyang City. The Jiulongchuan Coal Mine is planned to have an annual production capacity of 8 million tons, with accompanying 2×660MW coal-fired power plants; the Zaosheng and Chunrong Coal Mines are each planned to have an annual production capacity of 6 million tons. Together, these three mines have an overall planned production capacity of 20 million tons per year, providing a stable supply of raw materials for the project. This project will integrate other high-quality coal resources in the Qingyang area, focusing on the development of two key industrial chains: coal-based olefins and coal-to-natural gas. It aims at achieving clean and efficient utilization of coal, with its core products serving both the basic chemical industry and the field of clean energy. Gansu Energy and Chemical Group has invested a total of 46.7 billion yuan in advancing the construction and preliminary work for three coal mines and their supporting facilities. This investment provides solid support in terms of resources, funding, and infrastructure for the implementation of coal-based integrated demonstration projects, enabling a coordinated development of the \"coal-electricity-chemicals\" industrial chain.
