On October 30, Cornell Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons per year sustainable aviation fuel project was approved for registration. Announcement on Cornell Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons/year sustainable aviation fuel project: Project name: Cornell Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons/year sustainable aviation fuel. Location of construction: Jilin City_Jilin Economic and Technological Development Zone. Main scale and scope of the project: The project involves purchasing 900,000 tons of green methanol; the existing 300,000 tons/year methanol to olefins (MTO) production facility will be utilized, with new facilities such as Oligomerization Unit 1, Oligomerization Unit 2, Hydrogenation Unit, finished product storage areas, equipment rooms, and substation buildings being constructed, so as to achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of green aviation kerosene. By-product outputs include 10,000 tons per year of renewable naphtha, 0.5 tons per year of diesel blending components, and other by-products/intermediates. Cornell Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is a key enterprise under the Jilin Cornell Group, specializing in the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and products. It possesses strong capabilities in areas such as aniline and olefin production from methanol, while also actively expanding its business in high-end chemical products like MDI. The controlling shareholder is Jilin City Cornell Investment Group Co., Ltd., with a shareholding ratio of 67.6114% ; Shengda International Group Co., Ltd. holds a 21.1378% stake as the Hong Kong-based investor; in addition, there are several other investment institutions such as Anhui Wanbei Coal and Electricity Group that also hold shares. On April 20, 2020, the 300,000-ton-per-year methanol-to-olefins unit of the first phase of Cornell Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s project with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons was successfully commissioned, producing qualified ethylene and propylene products.
