On November 24, the Zibo Ecology and Environment Bureau planned to publish a public notice regarding its approval decision on the environmental impact assessment documents for the PPVE and fluorine-containing green surfactant transformation project carried out by Shandong Dongyue Future Hydrogen Energy Materials Co., Ltd. The relevant project information is as follows: Project name: PPVE and Fluorine-Containing Green Surfactant Transformation Project ； Construction unit: Shandong Dongyue Future Hydrogen Energy Materials Co., Ltd ； Construction location: Dongyue Fluorosilicon Materials Industrial Park, Huantai County, Zibo City, Shandong Province ； Investment amount: 5.5 million yuan ； Project nature: Technical renovation ； Construction details: Utilizing the remaining capacity of the existing 500 tons/year PPVE and fluorine-containing green surfactant production facilities, reforms will be carried out simultaneously in the existing perfluorodioxaheptanoic acid and perfluorodioxaoctanoic acid production plants. The project includes 30 sets of equipment, which use the intermediate products generated by existing units for thermal decomposition and distillation. This enables an annual production capacity of 100 tons of perfluoromethylethyl monomer and 40 tons of perfluoroethyl monomer, while maintaining the existing production capacities of 100 tons of perfluorodioxaheptanoic acid and 160 tons of perfluorodioxaoctanoic acid. Estimated time of commissioning: Completion and operation are expected by December 2026. New types of perfluorosurfactants based on fluor ether carbonates have attracted the attention of fluoropolymer manufacturers due to their biodegradability and environmental friendliness; extensive practical experience has shown that they can be widely used in the polymerization of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyperfluoroethylenepropylene (FEP), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
