(referred to as “Shandong Liyuan”), a subsidiary of Longpan Technology (603906). The announcement states that the project is located in the Chemical Industry Park of Juancheng County, Heze, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan; it is currently in the stage of environmental impact assessment public notification. It is reported that this project for 110,000 tons of high-performance phosphate-based cathode materials is a expansion project; it will be located within the Chemical Industry Park in Juancheng County, covering an additional area of approximately 33,867 square meters. The production process of this project is essentially the same as that of the existing lithium iron phosphate cathode material projects, with the main product being lithium iron phosphate powder. Battery Network noted that on August 21, Longpan Technology released a plan for issuing A-share stocks to specific investors in 2025. The total amount of funds raised by the company through this issuance of shares to specific investors shall not exceed RMB 2 billion (including this amount). After deducting the relevant issuance costs, the net amount of funds raised is intended to be used for the 110,000-ton high-performance phosphate-based cathode material project, the 85,000-ton high-performance phosphate-based cathode material project, as well as to replenish working capital. Among them, the entity responsible for the 110,000-ton high-performance phosphate-based cathode material project is Shandong Liyuan, a subsidiary of Longpan Technology Holdings. Once the funds raised are in place, the company plans to increase capital in its holding subsidiary Changzhou Liyuan; thereafter, Changzhou Liyuan will either increase capital in its wholly-owned subsidiary Shandong Liyuan or provide loans to it. The project is located in Juancheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, and involves the construction of a new production line capable of producing 110,000 tons per year of high-performance phosphate-based cathode materials. In the announcement, Longpan Technology stated that it plans to use the funds raised through this investment project to build production lines that can primarily meet the needs for manufacturing fourth-generation lithium iron phosphate cathode materials with extremely high energy density, while also being capable of producing various other high-performance phosphate-based cathode materials. This will enhance the company’s ability to respond flexibly to market demands and allow it to fully leverage the competitive advantages of its products. It is also worth mentioning that there are currently three key projects under development within the Shandong Lithium Source factory complex. The 50,000-ton lithium iron phosphate cathode material project and the 50,000-ton lithium iron phosphate precursor project have already been completed and put into operation, while the 25,000-ton lithium iron phosphate cathode material recycling project is currently in the construction phase.
