On November 28, the 10,000-ton carbon fiber project of Donghua Energy (Maoming), constructed by the Guangdong branch of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s 13th Construction Company, successfully completed the pouring of concrete for the accident pool raft slab, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the main structure. The accident pool covers an area of approximately 3,374.58 square meters, with a total amount of steel reinforcement of 650 tons. It has a trapezoidal shape and was poured in two stages; the total volume of concrete used is about 3,200 cubic meters. To ensure the smooth progress of the pouring process, the project team made comprehensive arrangements in terms of construction organization, material preparation, road transportation, and quality control. A detailed construction plan was developed, and the responsibilities of each employee as well as the standards for carrying out various tasks were clearly defined. A 24-hour shift system was implemented to strictly monitor all stages of the process, and ultimately, the pouring task was completed successfully. Next, the project team will continue to optimize the construction process and refine the schedule, approaching the task with greater diligence in order to contribute to the smooth progress of the project.
