On December 13, the 2# plate-type cryogenic tank, a core piece of equipment at the air separation station of the Rongsheng New Materials project managed by the Southwest Branch of Sinochem Second Construction Group, was successfully hoisted into place, marking a critical stage in the construction of the project’s air separation system. It is reported that the total weight of the 2# panel-type cold box is 180 tons, with a length of 13.5 meters, a width of 9 meters, and a height of 12.2 meters. As the core unit of air separation plants, the plate-type cryogenic box plays a role in the entire process of \"low-temperature generation – distillation separation – cold energy recovery – safety protection\". Its performance directly determines the product quality, energy consumption level, operational safety, and production continuity of the air separation plant. Once put into use, this equipment will enable the efficient separation of components such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon in air by precisely controlling the differences in their boiling points, thereby providing high-purity industrial gases for the project’s production. It is a key infrastructure element that supports the expansion of the project’s production capacity and the improvement of product quality.
