The Luoyang million-ton ethylene project and its associated refining facilities have recently made positive progress in areas such as project bidding, equipment procurement, and on-site construction. At present, all groundwork preparation and bearing capacity testing at the site have been completed. Construction of water supply and drainage facilities, as well as the factory’s road networks and fire protection systems, is in full swing. Pile testing and related inspections have also been finished, laying a solid foundation for the pile foundation construction. The supporting projects for oil refining are progressing rapidly; the detailed design is nearly 80% complete. The pile foundation construction for the new hydrocracking and ethane recovery units has been finished, and the foundation work is being accelerated, with the installation of steel structures having already begun. Meanwhile, pricing has been finalized for 27 sets of 42 ultra-long-cycle devices, and procurement orders have been placed for 12 sets of 17 long-cycle devices. The manufacturing and transportation plans for the oversized equipment have also been finalized. 71 key pieces of equipment will be manufactured using local resources or assembled on-site; the planning for the manufacturing sites and the timing of delivery have been preliminarily determined. Among them, the newly built hydrocracking reactor has been manufactured and passed the delivery inspection. Engineering procurement work is also progressing efficiently. To date, the procurement plans for 85 project packages have been approved, and tendering processes have been completed for 58 packages, including 5 key EPC packages; the tendering for the refinery-related projects has been fully finished. Thanks to the solid and efficient work carried out in the early stages, all key aspects of the Luoyang million-ton ethylene project have progressed as planned, laying a solid foundation for the project’s advancement and creating favorable conditions for subsequent large-scale construction. It is reported that the Luoyang million-ton ethylene project, as a landmark initiative for the industrial structure adjustment in Henan Province, serves as a key element in helping Mengjin District implement the \"335\" modern industrial system and the \"13636\" strategies for industrial development. The project will drive the transformation of Luoyang’s petrochemical industry from a traditional fuel-based model to a high-end materials-oriented one, laying a solid foundation for establishing an advanced green petrochemical materials industry hub. The new industrial framework of \"10 million tons of oil refining + 1 million tons of ethylene\" that will emerge upon the completion of the project will effectively promote the development of related supporting industries in Mengjin District, providing important support for the high-end manufacturing sector in the Central Plains region.
