The 200,000 tons per year ethanol production facility project in Jingmen Yuanhan was successfully completed

Recently, the intermediate handover for the 200,000-ton/year ethanol production facility (including electronic-grade ethanol) at Hubei Jingmen Yuanhan Battery Materials Co., Ltd., a project overseen by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as \"Beiyou Engineering\"), was successfully completed. This marks the full entry of this key provincial-level project into the trial operation and commissioning phase, thereby providing strong impetus for the development of the regional new energy materials industry chain. The project began with the construction of the first pouring pile on November 30, 2024; after nearly 13 months, key stages such as foundation construction, equipment installation, and the implementation of the three inspections and four determinations were completed. On December 19, 2025, the project was handed over to the client to high standards, thanks to the cooperation among all participating parties, which ensured that safety, quality, and schedule targets were all met.
As the core component of Hubei Yuanhan’s dimethyl carbonate-based chemical products project, this initiative features a large total investment volume and advanced technical processes. Once completed, it will enable an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of electronic-grade ethanol (including 100,000 tons per year from the refining unit). The products produced can be widely used in fields such as new energy batteries and high-end electronic chemicals, and they hold significant strategic importance for promoting the economic transformation and upgrading of the region as well as contributing to the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals. As a leading enterprise in the field of syngas-based ethanol production in China, Beiyou Engineering has utilized its extensive design and engineering expertise to turn this project into a model project featuring advanced technology and scientific management practices. This project not only demonstrates CCCC’s strong EPC general contracting capabilities, but also reflects its commitment to promoting the clean and efficient conversion of coal, as well as fostering the advanced, diversified, and low-carbon development of the coal chemical industry.
