NVIDIA announces the closure of its factories once again

Less than half a year later, the global chemical giant INVISTA announced yet another closure of one of its factories, in an effort to strengthen its global operational presence and prepare for greater long-term competitiveness in its business. NVIDIA announced on January 7 that it would close its manufacturing plant in Martinsville, Virginia, in the United States, cease production in Gloucester, UK, and shift operations to its factory in Kingston. Approximately 150 positions are affected, and these employees are eligible for severance pay. NVIDIA said it is focusing its investments on key facilities and capabilities to support growth, enhance competitiveness, and improve operational resilience. At the same time, it will continue to explore various investment opportunities to expand its production capacity in areas where it has a competitive advantage, including the factory located in Shanghai, China. In late September last year, Invista announced the closure of its plant in ***Maitland, and the production of 2-methylpentanediamine (DytekA) was moved to its plant in ****, Texas, United States; approximately 100 jobs were affected by this decision.
