On December 27, the dimethyl succinate tower for the 120,000-ton/year 1,4-butanediol unit of the Qingyang Tongxin 500,000-ton/year light hydrocarbon deep processing project, which is being constructed by the Northwest Branch of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation Sixth Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully installed. The project is located in the industrial park of Xifeng District, Qingyang City, Gansu Province. Using liquefied gas and mixed hydrocarbons from the Changqing Oil Field and the petrochemical enterprises in the surrounding area of Qingyang as raw materials, it primarily produces products such as propylene, 1,4-butanediol, furan, Y-butyrolactone, MTBE, C5+ components, and PBS. These products are mainly used in industries such as packaging, healthcare, and the automotive sector. Upon completion of the project, the cluster advantages of the park will be fully utilized to effectively advance the strategic transformation toward \"reducing oil use and increasing value addition,\" thereby injecting new momentum into the local green economy and achieving simultaneous improvements in quality and efficiency. To ensure the successful completion of the lifting task, the project team worked together efficiently. By strengthening top-level planning and overall process management, and adopting meticulous management approaches, they successfully overcame complex challenges such as space constraints for lifting oversized equipment and weight matching, thus providing a solid foundation for advancing the key milestones of the project. It is reported that this BDO unit is the core facility of the 500,000 tons per year light hydrocarbon deep processing project; it is located in the petroleum and natural gas chemical industry zone of Xifeng Industrial Park, covering a land area of 799.02 mu, with an estimated investment of 5.504 billion yuan. The project carries out advanced processing using as raw materials liquefied gas and mixed hydrocarbons produced as by-products in the Changqing Oil Field, as well as C3 and C4 components from associated gas resources from oil fields that are not utilized in refining and petrochemical industries or in ethylene production, along with inefficiently utilized liquefied gas from nearby refining enterprises, in order to develop the C3 and C4 industry chain. A new 450,000 tons/year liquefied gas desulfurization unit, a 500,000 tons/year liquefied gas separation unit, a 300,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation unit, a 150,000 tons/year maleic anhydride unit, a 70,000 tons/year succinic anhydride unit, a 100,000 tons/year BDO unit, a 30,000 tons/year PBS unit, and a 0.200,000 tons/year **furan refining and recovery unit will be constructed, along with supporting utility systems, storage and transportation facilities, and auxiliary facilities.
