Recently, the cold box unit of the Hangyang air separation project in Tengzhou, Shandong, which was constructed by China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully completed. Tengzhou is an important industrial city in the Southern Shandong economic zone, with a strong industrial foundation and high demand for industrial gases. Upon completion, this project will further enhance the regional capacity to supply industrial gases, injecting new momentum into the local industrial upgrading and high-quality economic development, and helping Tengzhou become a hub for advanced manufacturing in southern Shandong. The main cryogenic tank of the air separation cryogenic unit that has been completed this time is 62 meters high, while the auxiliary cryogenic tank is 13.3 meters high. This device employs new processes and technologies, and is characterized by a complex structure and high requirements for construction precision. Among them, the welding quality of the cryogenic tank shell is directly related to the stable operation of the device under subsequent low-temperature conditions. Starting from the lifting of the first cold storage panel on November 1, 2025, the project team carried out scientific coordination and meticulous management, overcame challenges such as a large volume of work and heavy snowfall with low temperatures, and successfully met the milestone targets at high speed. Currently, the prefabrication of equipment supports and pipelines inside the cold box, as well as the installation of instruments, is progressing steadily.
