At 18:32 on January 13, the epoxidation reactor 2100-R-1101E for the refinery transformation and upgrading as well as ethylene quality improvement project at the Maoming branch was lifted into place. This equipment weighs approximately 460 tons, has a diameter of 4.8 meters and a height of 15.9 meters; it is one of the key process equipment in this project. To ensure the safe and orderly conduct of lifting operations, the Fangyuan supervision team took preemptive measures and exercised strict control: on one hand, it carefully reviewed the special construction plans and organized expert evaluations to guarantee their scientific validity and feasibility ； On the other hand, a thorough inspection is carried out on the levelness of the lifting site, the performance parameters of the lifting equipment, the safety condition of the rigging, and the qualification certificates of the operators, to ensure that all safety measures are properly implemented. During the lifting process, a special supervision team composed of Project Director Zhou Meng, General Manager Ya Fu, Chief Safety Officer Luo Jirong, Safety Supervision Engineer Cao Huaping, and Equipment Installation Engineer Li Guanqian was formed to provide on-site supervision throughout the entire process. Pay close attention to key aspects such as the lifting sequence, lifting speed, control of the object’s position in the air, and positioning accuracy. With the overall coordination by the project owner, careful organization by the construction unit, full-process supervision by the supervision unit, and close cooperation from all relevant parties, the entire lifting process proceeded smoothly and orderly, with successful placement in just one attempt.
