On March 3, the tender for the procurement of methanol reaction gas heat exchangers for the MTO unit in Ningxia Coal Industry’s MTP upgrade project was made public. The top bidder was Liaoning Jiabao Petrochemical Equipment Co., Ltd., with a bid price of 69 million yuan. According to the tender specifications, the scope of this tender includes the methanol reaction gas heat exchangers for the MTO unit as part of the MTP upgrade project. The equipment in question is called a methanol-reaction gas heat exchanger, and its identification numbers are E-311202A~C. The main qualification requirement is that the bidder must possess and provide a valid Special Equipment Production License issued by the People’s Republic of China; the license must cover pressure vessel design, and one of the permitted sub-items must be the design of fixed pressure vessels； Bidders must possess and provide a valid Special Equipment Production License of the People’s Republic of China, with the license covering pressure vessel manufacturing, and the specific sub-category being fixed-pressure vessels (A2), large high-pressure vessels (A1), or ultra-high-pressure vessels (A6). The main performance requirement is that, from September 2020 to the bid deadline (subject to the contract signing date), the bidder must have and provide two examples of past delivery experiences related to methanol reaction gas heat exchangers for DMTO units, with the heat exchange tube material being 15CrMo+S30408. The reactive gas-methanol vertical heat exchanger is a large-scale, critical heat exchange device in DMTO plants, used for gas-to-gas heat exchange between the methanol gas feedstock and the reactive gases. It features a vertical shell-and-tube design; the diameter of the heat exchanger is around 4 meters, while the thickness of the tube sheet can reach 300 mm.
