Public Notice on the Technical Upgrade Project for Fluorine-Containing High-Performance Materials at Jinhua Yonghe Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd. 2026-03-06 14:32:46 Recently, the Jinhua Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a public notice regarding the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment report for the technical upgrade project of Jinhua Yonghe Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd., which aims to produce 8,800 tons per year of fluorine-containing high-performance materials (FEP, PTFE, PFA). As a preferred and irreplaceable basic material in fields such as space exploration, satellite communication, the information revolution, semiconductor material processing, and new energy battery separators, the domestic demand for fluorine-containing new materials is growing at a rate of over 10% per year. These materials have been included in the five key projects and ten major areas of the \"Made in China 2025\" initiative. Strengthening and expanding fluorine-containing new materials is not only a **strategic task and key focus for development, but also the core direction in which the company is aiming to move forward. Project Overview: Project Name: Technical upgrade project for Jinhua Yonghe Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd. to produce 8,800 tons per year of high-performance fluorinated materials (FEP, PTFE, PFA). Owner of the project: Jinhua Yonghe Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd. Project type: Technical upgrade. Location: No. 896, Qinglian Road, Jinxī Area, Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, within the existing factory complex of Jinhua Yonghe Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd. Main scope and scale of construction: By leveraging independently developed technologies and processes, and making full use of the existing workshops and some production equipment, this project aims to carry out technical upgrades without introducing any new hazardous chemical processes or significant sources of risk. The existing TFE production facilities and PTFE emulsion production facilities are upgraded and optimized; the single-screw extrusion line in the FEP production facilities is phased out, while new equipment such as polymerization reactors and twin-screw extruders are added to establish production lines for fluorinated high-performance materials (FEP, PTFE, PFA). Upon completion of the technical upgrade project, an annual production capacity of 8,800 tons of fluorine-containing high-performance materials will be available. Of this amount, 6,900 tons per year will be FEP (an increase of 2,700 tons per year compared to before the upgrade), 600 tons per year will be PTFE emulsion, and 1,300 tons per year will be PFA (this represents the new production capacity resulting from the upgrade). At the same time, the entire plant is capable of producing, as by-products, 120 tons of hexafluoropropylene per year, 69,720 tons of 31% hydrochloric acid, 54,911 tons of calcium chloride solution, 1,300 tons of 40% hydrofluoric acid, and 2,748 tons of 30% hydrofluoric acid. During the construction of the technological upgrade project, the company adhered to the green development philosophy of increasing production without increasing pollution, and simultaneously upgraded its wastewater recycling system for washing fluorine-containing high-performance materials as well as its waste gas treatment facilities. In terms of wastewater treatment, a new silicon carbide membrane treatment process has been introduced to further increase the water recovery rate from the production process. This not only ensures the stable and efficient operation of the production equipment but also reduces the amount of wastewater generated per ton of product ; In terms of waste gas treatment, the exhaust gases generated during extrusion are collected in a sealed manner, while high-concentration waste gases such as those resulting from vacuuming are treated through incineration, thereby effectively reducing the total amount of waste gas emissions. Project investment: The total investment amounts to around 100 million yuan, with the environmental protection-related investments totaling approximately 9.5 million yuan; thus, environmental protection investments account for 9.5% of the total investment.
