Recently, the list of candidates for the EPC general contracting of China National Petroleum Corporation’s 100,000 tons per year sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project in North China Petrochemical was made public. Based on a comprehensive evaluation of the bids, the top candidate to win the contract is China National Petroleum Corporation East China Design Institute Co., Ltd. The scope of the project includes, in accordance with the \"Feasibility Study Report\" approved for the 100,000 tons per year sustainable aviation fuel project as well as all the details outlined in the \"First Phase Basic Design for the 100,000 tons per year sustainable aviation fuel project at North China Petrochemical\", carrying out all the work in line with these approved basic design documents. This involves constructing a new pretreatment facility with a capacity of 150,000 tons per year and a new sustainable aviation fuel production facility with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year, along with the installation of necessary supporting systems (including the construction of 4 new raw material storage tanks with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters each and related facilities, the construction of one new loading crane for vehicles, five new unloading cranes for vehicles, reusing the existing jet fuel and diesel tanks at North China Petrochemical, and upgrading the third circulating water system). The main tasks include, but are not limited to: completing the detailed design of the North China Petrochemical’s 100,000 tons per year sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project based on the approved basic design documents; handling the procurement of equipment and materials, as well as carrying out construction, purging, pressurization, chemical cleaning, equipment commissioning, individual unit testing, integrated system testing, and ensuring operational readiness from the start of production until 72 hours after qualified products are produced; assisting with the trial operation of the facility, pilot production, and performance evaluation; organizing the archiving of relevant documents, providing digital delivery of information, offering maintenance training, and providing subsequent services; as well as conducting technical support, providing technical guidance and training, and offering services related to equipment procurement. These tasks will continue until the project is completed and accepted, any defects are rectified, and the quality warranty period comes to an end. However, this does not include the preliminary work required to prepare the site for construction.
