On March 5, the annual production of 100,000 tons of polyvinyl alcohol project at Ningxia Shuangying New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. officially commenced construction. The implementation of this project will set a benchmark for extending, strengthening, and improving the chemical industry in Pingluo County, thereby enhancing its quality and efficiency. Located in Taishayuan, Pingluo Industrial Park, the project covers an area of 500 mu and has a total investment of 1 billion yuan; it is a key investment attraction project for Pingluo County. Leveraging the financial advantages of the investing enterprise as well as the strengths in energy and resource utilization available at the Dadi Circular Industry Park, the project uses high-quality calcium carbide with stable quality supplied by Dadi Company as a raw material. Building on the company’s experienced technical team for polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) production and its stable market share for such products, it establishes a key production chain that connects calcium carbide to PVA and then to high-end new materials. This approach enables the local raw materials to be transformed and processed further on-site, facilitating the transition of the industry from selling raw materials to selling finished products, technologies, and brands, thereby significantly increasing the added value of the products and the profitability of the enterprises. It is reported that the project is planned to produce 100,000 tons per year of high-quality PVA products in various varieties; the construction period will be 10 months, with trial production expected to begin by the end of November this year. “Leveraging the circular economy strengths of Dadi Group, this project consumes 200,000 tons of calcium carbide, 1.5 million tons of steam, and 10,000 tons of methanol per year, thereby gaining a cost advantage and establishing itself as a leading production base in the polyvinyl alcohol industry that features advanced technology and intelligence. Once the project is put into operation, it will generate an annual industrial output value of around 1.5 billion yuan, contributing to the high-quality development of Pingluo’s economy. ”Zhu Jinfeng, the deputy administrative director of the project, said.
