Recently, information available on the Online Approval Service Hall for Investment Projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region shows that the hydrogen-based green fuel grid-connected green power direct connection project (hydrogen production phase) carried out by CGN (Inner Mongolia) New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. in Dengkou County has been registered for approval. Construction location: Bayannur City -- Dengkou County -- within the Dengkou County Industrial Park, south of Wulanbuhe Ecological Avenue. Total investment: 838 million yuan, of which self-funded capital amounts to 251.4 million yuan, bank loans applied for amount to 586.6 million yuan, and there is no other funding source. Planned construction period: from November 2026 to December 2028. Construction scale and scope: As part of this project, a hydrogen production plant will be built, with 22 hydrogen production units in total; each unit is equipped with 4 sets of electrolyzer equipment with a capacity of 1000 Nm³/h. In total, there will be 88 alkaline electrolyzers, giving an overall hydrogen production capacity of around 88,000 Nm³/h. The hydrogen production project can produce approximately 39,288 tons of hydrogen through electrolysis per year, resulting in around 441.99 million Nm³ of green hydrogen annually. A main hydrogen pressure reduction station is constructed within the hydrogen production site to establish a clear physical separation from the power grid.
