Construction of Tarim’s annual 250,000-ton recycled polyester production plus intelligent equipment integration project is accelerating

The integrated project for producing 250,000 tons of recycled polyester per year along with intelligent manufacturing equipment in Tacheng is advancing at pace. Recently, the key development and opening-up pilot zone in Tacheng, Xinjiang, has seen accelerated construction of a landmark project: one that involves the reprocessing of 250,000 tons of environmentally friendly polyester particles per year as well as the production of intelligent manufacturing equipment; completion of this project is expected by the end of September 2025. The project is funded by Xinjiang Yicheng Technology Development Co., Ltd. With a total land area of approximately 118,600 square meters, it focuses on a dual-driven approach involving \"reused polyester\" and \"intelligent equipment\"; once completed, it will have the capacity to produce 250,000 tons of recycled eco-friendly polyester particles per year. As a **green and low-carbon new material project aimed at providing incentives, this facility will develop two main production capacities: one is to use physical melting and granulation processes to produce 250,000 tons per year of recycled eco-friendly polyester particles, including 130,000 tons of modified polyester, 20,000 tons of polyester preforms, and 100,000 tons of sheets ； Secondly, it involves building intelligent equipment production lines tailored for the markets of the five Central Asian countries and Russia, as well as taking on orders for custom-made equipment; the annual scale of this service market is approximately 300 million yuan. Upon completion, the project will fill the gap in the large-scale polyester new materials industry in the Tacheng region, and by leveraging its strategic location for westward expansion, it will become an integrated export base for \"reused materials + equipment manufacturing\". It is worth noting that the rapid progress of the Tacheng project is not an isolated case; rather, it represents the westward expansion and clustered development of Xinjiang’s polyester industry. In recent years, Xinjiang has been accelerating the development of a complete polyester industry chain that covers \"raw materials – recycling – spinning – end-use applications\". In addition to the Tacheng project, the 600,000 tons per year polyester filament project of Xinjiang Yuxin New Materials Co., Ltd. and the 250,000 tons per year direct-spun polyester filament project of Xinjiang Zhongtai Polyester Fiber Materials Co., Ltd. have also been launched or put into operation, further strengthening Xinjiang’s core position in the polyester industry landscape of the Northwest.
