Recently, more good news came in from the construction site of Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co., Ltd.’s second 500,000 tons per year coal-to-olefins project, which is being built by Shaanxi Huajian Xi’an Company – the lower section of reactor 104 in the MTO unit was successfully installed in one go, marking a full entry into the final phase of installation for the project’s core equipment. It is reported that the MTO unit serves as the \"heart\" of the coal-to-olefins process chain, with the Reactor 104 being the most critical component of the entire unit. The lower section of the cylinder being lifted this time is equipped with a working platform and other safety devices. In terms of its structure, it is larger at the bottom and smaller at the top; it is 17 meters high, with a diameter of 15.8 meters at the upper end and 8.9 meters at the lower end. Its total weight is 340 tons. The precision required for lifting it is extremely high, and the construction process becomes significantly more difficult due to factors such as the presence of numerous surrounding structures and the complex conditions associated with night-time operations. Before the lifting operation, the project team organized all management and operational staff to conduct a thorough technical and safety briefing. A joint inspection was carried out to verify the mechanical properties of the 1600-ton crawler crane, as well as its lifting equipment, safety devices, and emergency response measures, ensuring that responsibilities were assigned to specific individuals and that all necessary measures were in place. On that day, after being lifted by the main crane, rotated under heavy load, and lowered smoothly, the lower base of the reactor accurately fit into the foundation foot bolts after 2 hours; the gaps around it were uniform, and the reactor was successfully installed in one lifting operation.
