On June 9, the integrated R&D and production project for CDMO services related to innovative chemical macromolecular drugs by Asymchem Life Science Group successfully obtained a construction permit, marking the official start of construction. The integrated R&D and production project for CDMO services related to innovative chemical macromolecular drugs by Asymchem Life Science Group has been established in the Nucleic Acid Pharmaceutical Industrial Park in the Western Area of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. Upon completion, it will work in close synergy with the company’s existing Tianjin production facility, thereby strengthening the regional biopharmaceutical industrial chain. This move will also further amplify the agglomeration effect of the nucleic acid pharmaceutical industrial park and enhance the core competitiveness of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area in the biopharmaceutical sector. The project requires a total investment of approximately 2 billion yuan. It focuses on cutting-edge innovation areas in the biopharmaceutical industry, such as peptides and oligonucleotides (TIDES), with the aim of establishing a specialized, integrated R&D and manufacturing base for innovative drugs under the CDMO model. Once the project is put into operation, it will make full use of its technical, production capacity, and resource advantages to achieve various advancements such as an expansion of production scale, integration of different technologies, and upgrades in industrial services. This will help to further improve the regional layout of the nucleic acid industry, thereby boosting the development of industrial clusters. Currently, the global TIDES innovative drug industry is thriving, and the corresponding demand for CDMO research, development, and production continues to rise. Seizing the opportunities presented by industry development, while ensuring the steady growth of its small-molecule chemistry business, Asymchem is focusing on emerging sectors such as large-molecule chemistry. Leveraging its cutting-edge core technologies and integrated industrial service capabilities, it has achieved rapid growth in its large-molecule chemistry business. In 2025, Asymchem Life Science Group achieved operating revenue of 6.67 billion yuan. Within this, the chemical macromolecules CDMO segment generated revenue of 1.028 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 123.72% ; As of the end of March 2026, the value of outstanding orders related to TIDES increased by 127.59% year-on-year. Overseas orders accounted for 58.42% of this total. These figures demonstrate significant progress in expanding into international markets, with TIDES continuing to strengthen its global competitiveness. Technological innovation and capacity upgrading are the core strengths that enable Kylin to focus on the field of large-molecule innovative drugs and stay at the forefront of industry development. In terms of technology, Asymchem has applied a number of innovative technologies in the TIDES field, including enzymatic ligation, tag-assisted liquid-phase synthesis, continuous multi-column counter-current solvent gradient purification (MCSGP), PAT process analysis, and continuous cleavage processes. In terms of production capacity, the total volume of the Company’s solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) reactors currently exceeds 45,000 liters. By the end of 2026, the total SPPS production capacity is expected to rise to approximately 69,000 liters. Meanwhile, the production capacity for oligonucleotides will increase from 120 moles to 180 moles. Additionally, a formulation workshop and pre-filled syringe production line are being constructed to establish an integrated supply system for both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished products. The ongoing expansion and construction of this new project will further facilitate the transition of innovative therapies such as peptides and oligonucleotides from the laboratory to the global market. As a key regional biopharmaceutical industry project, it benefits from comprehensive and high-quality service support provided by Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area throughout the entire process. The various functional departments in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area work in precise coordination and collaboration to fully ensure all necessary elements, including land supply, energy provision, and coordination among industrial zones.
