Our plant’s dispersant is only added at the inlet of the low-pressure water pump and in the graywater tank; we now want to carry out a technical upgrade. Remove the dispersant pump; rely solely on static pressure to discharge into these two locations. It is known that the water pump inlet is at a height of 0.5 meters above the ground level; the liquid level in the graywater tank is 4 meters high. The volume of the dispersant tank is 1 square meter times 2 meters. A dispersant pump is used to pump fluid at a rate of 0.05 meters per hour. The height of the graywater tank is 6 meters. Currently, the framework on the second floor where the sludge water is located is 8 meters high. What size pipes should be used for drainage to these two locations, and what should be the flow velocity? What is an appropriate height for the design tank when it is placed on an 8m platform (the dispersant can be considered as plain water).
