Is the commonly referred to insulation sheet made of iron? I’ve heard that aluminum is used as a thermal insulation coating. In terms of metal reactivity, aluminum is more reactive than iron, so it should be more susceptible to corrosion. Why is a more corrosible material used for the insulation casing? What are the main applications of aluminum metal as a thermal insulation casing?

It is easy to work with – aluminum has high plasticity, allowing it to be bent and coiled easily, thereby improving the efficiency of installation processes.
Advantage 1 and Advantage 3 are consistent. Ranked by metal activity, aluminum and zinc are both ahead of iron, so their corrosion resistance should be lower than that of iron. From a corrosion prevention perspective, shouldn’t aluminum sheet or galvanized iron sheet be avoided?
According to the poster’s corrosion prevention theory, do insulation panels have to be made of materials such as stainless steel? Insulation panels are generally used only to protect against corrosion from things like rain, so aluminum sheets and galvanized steel sheets are more than sufficient. Aluminum is more resistant to corrosion than iron! Let’s talk about corrosion: The electron structure of metals makes them highly reactive, allowing them to easily combine with other substances. The corrosion resistance of materials including stainless steel is achieved through the formation of a dense oxide layer on their surface. This oxide layer has a low electrode potential and is inert, meaning it does not participate in reactions; thus, it protects the underlying metal. The aluminum products in our homes have a grayish-white appearance due to this alumina protective layer, whereas the natural color of aluminum is silver-white.
For decades, we have been using galvanized iron sheet, also known as tinplate. For something that needs to be replaced frequently, corrosion protection isn’t a concern – cost is what matters most.
In production, sheet metal rusts and corrodes to a very serious extent. We are also considering switching to a non-metallic insulation material.
