The inlet tank of the centrifugal compressor was originally equipped with two pipelines of equal size, one leading to each of the compressors A/B. Later, it was determined that running both compressors at the same time could lead to surge phenomena, as one compressor might draw too much flow and deprive the other of sufficient gas supply. Now, the tank has a single larger outlet pipeline from which two branches are formed to feed each compressor separately; this arrangement helps to prevent the compressors from competing for flow What is the principle? Please help
In this way, the inlet tank can serve as a buffer.
