How are samples taken at LNG receiving stations, and what is analyzed? Is it required for all LNG receiving stations? Thank you!
I’m not sure about LNG; for our LPG storage tanks, we determine the percentage of various components, hydrogen sulfide content, total sulfur content, vapor pressure, density, and water content. Among them, the component and hydrogen sulfide sulfur content are measured each time, while the others are not. Take a look as reference.
LNG has not been tested. There is a sampling point in the NG station, installed on the gas collection pipe; the gas is sent to the ABB NGC8206 at a pressure of around 1 bar via a pressure regulator, so that parameters such as composition and calorific value can be analyzed.
