I have a question – I’d like to ask something about liquefied natural gas, liquefied hydrocarbons, and liquefied petroleum gas. The Building Code specifies the spacing requirements for liquefied natural gas tanks and liquefied petroleum gas tanks, but there are no such specifications for liquefied hydrocarbons. How should liquefied hydrocarbons be handled according to the Building Code? The Petrochemical Regulations specify the spacing requirements for liquefied hydrocarbon tanks, but not those for liquefied petroleum gas tanks. According to the terms in the Petrochemical Regulations, liquefied hydrocarbons do not include natural gas; liquefied hydrocarbons and liquefied petroleum gas are also distinct terms. So, what happens to liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas under the Petrochemical Regulations? What is incomprehensible is that liquefied petroleum gas appears again in the section on filling stations in Clause 6.5 of the Petrochemical Regulations.
The Building Code specifies the fire separation distances for liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas supply stations, while the Petrochemical Code refers to liquefied hydrocarbons in terms of storage tank areas and warehouses; liquefied natural gas is not included in this context; LPG under the petrochemical regulations falls under the definition of liquefied hydrocarbons. Therefore, the fire separation distance for liquefied petroleum gas is determined in accordance with the Petrochemical Regulations. The fire separation distances for liquefied natural gas are specified in the \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Projects\".
I’m facing the same issue now: the general layout originally planned according to the petrochemical regulations is still not approved by the experts, even though classifying it as LNG makes sense.
I just want to complain: can’t we establish some rules? Those two cabinets have produced a bunch of worthless experts
