Which brands are commonly used for domestic ESD products? What are some foreign brands? It would be best if you could give a brief introduction. Don’t just focus on advertising; you can share personal opinions as well
Tricon (now part of Schneider Group), HIMA (a German leader in this field), and ICS (a Rockwell brand) all hold a large market share in China’s chemical industry.
How is Allen-Bradley’s own ESD, and how well is it performing? The DCS we are using now is HaliTech’s MACSV, and communication between the two systems will be necessary in that case. If we switch to the brands you mentioned, could there be compatibility issues? It’s difficult to tell just by listening to HaliTech’s staff; only those who have used them can understand the potential problems. Our ESD also controls the opening and closing of two shut-off valves, along with a few sensing points; the total number of points is very small. It seems that the cost of installing a full ESD system is too high. Are there any smaller systems that don’t require much space? Even if they don’t need to communicate with the DCS, it would be sufficient to add a separate isolation valve. This way, the costs can be reduced while still meeting the safety requirements.

Schneider Electric’s ESD product only obtained TUV certification in 2012; as a result, there are few applications of it in the field, which makes it difficult to gather feedback from users who use it in actual situations. However, since it has passed foreign TUV certification, its safety and reliability should be guaranteed. Based on your description, I recommend using HIMA’s compact ESD system, namely the H41q-HRS, which features a four-redundancy architecture. TRICONEX also has a small ESD system, namely TRIDENT, which features a triple-redundancy architecture; however, it likely does not offer any price advantage over H41Q. There are no compatibility issues with communication; the vast majority of cases involve communication via the Modbus standard protocol. To be honest, the Modbus communication capability of the SM020 module in Allen-Bradley’s MACSV-SM series is extremely weak. Fortunately, your ESD system is small, with a limited number of communication points.
Personally, I find Honeywell SM/FSC to be quite good – the system is very stable with a low failure rate； We have dozens of sets in use here.

In the case of process industries: First tier: Tricon, HIMA; Second tier: Honeywell, ABB, Yokogawa; For control systems: ICS. Domestic systems are not recommended; if a problem occurs, it will result in the system stopping functioning.
Use TRICON; I’ve used it many times and personally feel it’s better suited for HIMA
