Low-temperature heat recovery has always been a major challenge; for example, the issue of recovering heat below 110°C in thermal potassium-alkali decarbonization processes results in high energy consumption for such processes. This issue is present in all aspects of chemical production. If it can be resolved, it will lead to a significant reduction in energy consumption in the chemical industry. In my view, the key to solving this problem lies first in making breakthroughs in materials, such as semiconductors or three-dimensional directed polymerization; only on this basis can this major challenge be overcome.
