Mandatory nature of project feasibility studies

It should be decided by the investors, right? We will only receive approval for investment after the feasibility study is completed.

Otherwise, the amount of information is too large, and no one will read it carefully, which instead poses a great risk. It should be separated; it still has to be separated. For investments, a feasibility study is necessary; for environmental protection, an environmental impact assessment is required; for production safety, a safety assessment is needed; and for energy conservation and consumption reduction, an energy assessment is essential. By specializing in these areas and each person doing their own role, projects can be carried out successfully. The feasibility studies these days are a bit formalistic – they have to be written in the way the client demands, and the profits claimed must match what’s stated! Feasibility studies are not reliable at all! Feasibility studies should not be prepared by the direct stakeholders of the project, such as engineering companies. The energy assessment, environmental impact assessment, and safety pre-assessment for a project all need to be prepared based on the feasibility study report. Without a feasibility study report, there is no basis for determining which energy-saving, safety, and environmental protection measures have been adopted. The content is also very detailed, often spanning several hundred pages ； However, under the current national conditions, especially in some so-called engineering companies or design institutes, in order to complete projects as quickly as possible, a lot of the data used is fabricated. They just use whatever data the client provides; in any case, they have to come up with some data, and if they can’t, they fabricate it anyway. I can only laugh too!
