The fuel oil main pipe is generally at 0.6–0.8 MPa (it’s lower than that of steam anyway, to prevent steam from mixing with the fuel oil), while the fuel gas is usually at 0.5 MPa ； For ordinary fuel oil furnace pressure limit valves, the fuel oil pressure is usually around 0.4 MPa; the pressure in the fuel oil main pipe needs to be adjusted according to the furnace temperature and the opening degree of the fuel oil control valve.
I remember that our atmospheric-pressure furnace’s gas-oil hybrid burner was connected to both fuel gas and fuel oil, but the combustion chamber was generally not replaced (it was made of refractory bricks and could only be replaced during maintenance)
