How should the grade of foundation bolts for equipment such as containers and towers be selected? Grade B or Grade D? Is it related to the ambient temperature? What does it matter? According to the city what!
Different phosphorus and sulfur contents result in different requirements for impact tests. Q345ABCDE – the higher the grade, the stricter the requirements. When the ambient temperature is below -20°C, it’s better to choose Q345E
Q345A, Q345B, Q345C, Q345D, and Q345E represent different grades, which are primarily distinguished by the impact temperature required. Grade Q345A does not require impact testing; grade Q345B requires impact testing at 20 degrees Celsius; grade Q345C requires it at 0 degrees Celsius; grade Q345D requires it at -20 degrees Celsius; and grade Q345E requires it at -40 degrees Celsius. The values related to impact testing vary depending on the impact temperature.
The average monthly minimum temperature is -15 degrees; which material should be chosen? B or D? Let’s discuss it? The structural engineers in our company say that choosing B is fine!
And how is the design temperature determined? What is the basis? Specification 3074 states that grade E should be selected when the design temperature is below -20 degrees
