According to the process, how is the heat exchange area of the heat exchanger determined? Or in other words, how to verify whether the heat exchange area of the heat exchanger provided by the design institute is appropriate? The process medium is propane; the inlet temperature of the distillation tower condenser is 58 degrees, while the outlet temperature is 30 degrees...... The cooling medium is circulating water, with an inlet temperature of around 30 degrees.

After the final design is completed, a design institute will determine whether it meets the process requirements.
Moderator, I guess the original poster posted this because they had objections to the design review process, not because they wanted to ask about the design institute’s workflow. Just based on what the poster described, there’s a problem: in a distillation tower, the propane gas is at 58 degrees, and it needs to be condensed to 30 degrees, yet the cooling source is circulating water at around 30 degrees, so this is definitely not feasible. Is the poster asking whether a two-stage condensation system is being used, with a low-temperature water condenser at the rear end?
