Today someone asked me a question regarding hydrogen refueling stations. I had never considered this before, so I’m seeking advice from those who are experts in this area; please give me some guidance. Thank you! In hydrogen refueling stations, due to the possibility of hydrogen leaks, could hydrogen accumulate inside the instruments and power trunks? Under such operating conditions, does the instrument power tray have any special design to prevent hydrogen accumulation?
I wonder if the original poster has seen hydrogen balloons; hydrogen rises continuously in the air and disappears quite quickly. It will not accumulate in the trunking; and even if accumulation does occur, it happens over an extremely short period of time or in very small amounts. Don’t worry about this situation.
If the tray cover is sealed, isn’t it possible for hydrogen to get in and not be able to escape in time?

I’ve encountered projects related to ammonia synthesis before, where combustible gas alarms were installed at the points where cables entered the control room, to prevent gases from entering that area. Copper is prohibited in ammonia synthesis plants; however, some of the materials used in the control room are made of copper
