I. Project Overview The 1 million tons per year methanol-to-clean fuel (MTG) technology upgrade project is a key initiative under Shanxi Coal Group’s strategic plan to drive the transformation and development of the coal chemical industry through park-based development. It is also one of the key projects under the first phase of Shanxi Coal Group’s circular economy industrial park for the clean utilization of high-sulfur coal. 1. Site selection for the project: The project covers an area of 701 mu and is located in Zhoucun Town, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. 2. Introduction to the main process: The project uses methanol produced within the park as raw material to manufacture qualified clean fuels, with LPG and fuel gas as by-products. 3. Product scale: The product scale for the first phase of the project is as follows: 500,000 tons per year of clean fuel, 65,000 tons per year of liquefied petroleum gas, 1 million tons per year of methanol, 73,000 tons per year of sulfuric acid, etc.

The project uses methanol produced within the park as raw material, and employs ExxonMobil’s advanced MTG process technology to convert it into hydrocarbon oils with a carbon number of C11 or lower through dehydration, oligomerization, isomerization, and other reactions under specific temperature, pressure, and space velocity conditions. Subsequent processing is then used to produce high-quality clean fuels, with LPG and fuel gas as by-products.

The demonstration project for the integrated electro-thermal utilization of high-sulfur coal (for replacing ammonia synthesis capacity) is a key construction project for the transformation and comprehensive reform in Shanxi Province and Jincheng City. This project will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, a methanol production facility with an annual output of one million tons will be built, requiring an investment of around 5.95 billion yuan and covering an area of approximately 1,270 mu. This project uses high-sulfur coal from Jincheng as raw material, and employs advanced aerospace coal gasification technology with independent intellectual property rights in China, as well as large-scale air separation units and low-temperature methanol washing for desulfurization and decarbonization. The purified gas generated is fed into a compression synthesis unit to produce methanol, along with various supporting facilities and utility systems. In June 2009, Jinmei Group commissioned a demonstration project capable of producing 100,000 tons per year of synthetic oil, using \"high-sulfur, high-ash, and high-ash-melting-point\" low-quality coal as the main raw material. This made it the world’s first demonstration plant for coal-based methanol synthetic oil production.

100,000 tons per year belongs to Jinmei Tianxi. For the first phase of your project, it should be 1 million tons of methanol and 500,000 tons of synthetic oil, right?
