The PID control system has already been designed; now the issue is selecting the appropriate materials. We need to dilute 98% sulfuric acid to around 30% concentration. Regarding pumps, it was decided to use imported magnetic pumps. As for the containers, can we use those made of 304 steel or Q235B steel lined with Teflon? For the pipes, is 304 steel or carbon steel a better choice? And what about the heat exchanger – how should we choose one? I’m seeking help from all of you. Thank you!
Both containers and pipelines can be lined with fluorocarbon; valves can be ceramic valves or fluorocarbon-lined valves. The heat exchanger – waiting for an expert to answer; I don’t understand this.
Hehe, there are also F4 heat exchangers; it’s safer to use an F4 heat exchanger. Also, plate heat exchangers made of certain grades of Hastelloy are an option.
Dilution is relatively easy; what’s required during the dilution process is cooling. One manufacturer asked us about the zirconium coiled tubes we purchase for cooling purposes
It can be made of PTFE or tantalum; tantalum is more expensive. It also depends on your operating conditions; choose the material based on those conditions
Material selection is indeed a challenge; cost considerations need to be taken into account, and the regulations are rather vague. Guidelines are provided, but they cannot be used as a basis for decision-making. It’s too difficult for me!
