I’ve only been working with this for a few days; the process used is methanol oxidation dehydrogenation to produce formaldehyde. When I arrived, I saw that all the materials were transported through pipes, and it seemed like nothing special was going on. My daily tasks consist of conducting inspections, cleaning, and making adjustments to the processes. The smell of leaked formaldehyde is really unbearable – it’s extremely irritating to the eyes. What should I do?

This is a highly toxic, specially formulated product. It poses a risk to human health**; it can easily cause cancer! Be careful! Protection measures must be in place! Try to have as little contact as possible!
Companies that do not provide adequate protection against formaldehyde can be left, and one can quit to find a new job.
Silver method? When you go in for maintenance and open the lid of the oxidation furnace to insert the catalytic silver, you’ll find that the entire equipment acts like a chimney, releasing formaldehyde into the air – and the levels involved are not at the ppm level at all, haha
I visited the facility for the oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde once when that plant stopped operating; it was quite uncomfortable there as well. The smell wasn’t strong, but it still made me feel uneasy~
