The HP10 type metal tube magnetic float flow meter is used to transport material from a tank through the flow meter to a distillation tower; vacuum in the tower is utilized to draw in the material. It is a DN25 pipe, and the flow meter’s range is 35–400 L/h. The actual flow rate, calculated based on changes in the tank’s liquid level, is 40 L/h, but the indicator shows 180 L/h. I’m not sure why this is the case; I hope experts can help me figure it out
Is the rotor stuck in a certain position? Remove it and clean it up. A magnetic filter should be installed on the rotameter.

What does that mean? Do you mean that the calculated traffic value does not match the actual traffic value? Have you decided on the specifications? If there is no sticking issue and the flow meter is working properly, is the flow rate you calculated correct? How was it calculated? If your calculations are correct, the actual flow rate at that time should have been 40, not 180. This means there must be an error in the specifications provided when you purchased the meter, or it’s a mistake on the part of the manufacturer; get a different one! This rotor should not be adjustable! It has to be replaced! ...Or will you calculate the scales and draw them yourself? ? It’s a bit difficult! ... 2. Another thing is, is your flow rate drawn in by negative pressure from the tower? I’m not really sure if this situation has any impact on the rotor; based on the principles of middle school physics, it should have some effect, but I can’t figure it out. The flow rate is calculated based on the rate at which the liquid level in the measuring tank drops per unit of time; it was just an estimate at that time, so it might not be very accurate. Everything has been taken apart for cleaning, and we will observe again
The components through which the pipes and valves pass are all made of stainless steel, and the material is a viscous liquid; it probably doesn’t make much difference whether magnetic filtration is used or not
Metal tube flowmeters generally require a magnetic filter; I guess you’ll realize this if you take them apart and look at the rotor. Also, a high viscosity of your medium might also cause some problems; I’m not sure what kind of medium it is.
It’s prepared in a mixing tank; it’s called BHT. I’m not entirely sure what exactly it is, but it has some viscosity
