Discussion on the setting of the zero point and the range after drift for differential pressure level gauges
The range refers to the difference between the upper and lower limits of measurement. After adjusting the zero point and offset, the range remains unchanged; only the values of the lower and upper measurement limits change.

The transmitter design team will specify a measurement range such as 0–1 MP. However, in actual installation, factors such as the height difference between high and low pressures can result in a slight pressure difference. If the zero point shifts downward by 0.5, then the adjusted range will be –0.5 to 0.5; if it shifts upward by 0.5, the adjusted range will be 0.5 to 1.5 MP. In short, no matter how the zero point changes, the absolute difference between the upper and lower limits remains unchanged
Range = Upper measurement limit – Lower measurement limit. Zero adjustment deals with the relationship between the output zero point and the lower measurement limit; it does not guarantee a corresponding change between the upper measurement limit and the range; Migration is the adjustment of the relationship between the output zero point and the lower measurement limit while maintaining unchanged range ; For many transmitters today, zero adjustment and offset adjustment are essentially fine-tuning and coarse-tuning of the same circuit.
