At the beginning of July, Maoming Petrochemical’s 3 million tons per year diesel hydrogenation unit completed its first calibration at full capacity; all parameters of the unit met the design specifications, enabling it to produce National V diesel. The 3 million tons per year diesel hydrogenation unit is a key facility in Maoming Petrochemical’s project to upgrade the quality of its petroleum products. Since it came online at the beginning of this year, it has been producing diesel that meets the National V standards, with a sulfur content of less than 10 ppm, thus satisfying the demand for such diesel in the regional market. This system mainly consists of four components: a reaction system, a distillation system, a desulfurization system, and utility systems. It carries out desulfurization, denitration, olefin saturation, and partial aromatic saturation through catalytic hydrogenation reactions, to produce high-quality diesel blending components with a sulfur content of less than 10 ppm, while yielding a small amount of naphtha as a by-product. Dear sea friends, this installation in Maoming is quite large – what technology is it using? Which design firm designed it?
Diesel upgrading, or cracking. The operating pressure cannot be reduced
Hydrogenation reforming, mainly for desulfurization and denitration; I’m not sure about the specific process
The 300×104t/a diesel hydrofining unit was designed by Maoming Ruipai Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. and constructed and installed by Maohua Construction.
Improvement would be better; if it’s only refined, it will shorten the production cycle
It should be a diesel hydrofining unit; the pressure in the hydrogen-related system is around 7.0 Mpa, while the pressure required for diesel conversion is even higher.
Designed by Maoming Ruipai, constructed by Guangdong Maohua Construction Company; the supervision company is Guangdong Guoxin
